- My really organized room-o-windows -

- My even more really organized porch room -
So like I said, I live on a porch, converted into a room. I LOVE the light that comes through, it makes me so happy. Although, because it once was a porch, it has poor ventilation, or should I say great ventilation... The windows on the side don't close all the way, which makes air seep through, so in the morning, my room is actually really cold (which I love), but in the afternoon, my room doubles as our second oven... Regardless, I am so blessed to be living in a closed-in porch, with two amazing housemates and, the best part, we don't have to pay any of the water bill, so as many showers during the day as I please!
It feels so nice to have a wardrobe, bookshelf and dresser so my clothes are not in piles on my floor anymore! You can see the corner of my sewing/keyboard desk, which is actually rather large. The desk was my first purchase on Craigslist.org, and only $35. I got a dresser for free as a bonus for buying the desk, what a good first Craigslist experience. Courtney needed a dresser, and because she is in grad school, doesn't have tons of resources or time to put towards finding one. Tracy and I, being the best housemates anyone could ask for, willingly took the dresser from Philipp and gave it to Courtney. I tell Courtney that I am really nice and bought the desk for $25 and the dresser for $10, but she saw right through that. After Robyn's mom Debbie, and my aunt Deborah drive down a twin bed my mom SO kindly traded a purse for, I will finally be able to sleep on the porch!!
PS - click here to check out my mom's purses on Etsy.com. She also makes FABULOUS silver stamped necklaces. Christmas is just right around the corner :)
