Fam Bam

For about a year now I've been bugging my mom to come down and visit me. But, rightly so, she thought I was moving back up towards her... Maybe because I told I was going to, twice... Regardless, the time came for her to visit and she brought Connor along. And Brittany. And Jared... If you've ever seen my apartment you know it's not all that big (even if you haven't, you are probably assuming its not that big...). It was fun to play musical beds, couch and lovesack.

While Brittany, mom and I went hiking around the San Gabriel Hills Saturday morning, Connor and Jared went down to Huntington to meet up with Trevor Cake and Brandon. It's about time my 2 worlds collide! That afternoon, we headed down to Huntington to watch the Hunger Games, oh yeah, and so my mom could meet Brando. Before the movie, the boys decided to go surfing. Oh yeah, this was Connor's first time surfing and... drum roll please... he stood up and rode several waves in. Such a proud sister moment.

Connor and Jared stayed down in Huntington Saturday night giving us girls lots of needed quality time. Sunday was raining cats and dogs (or was that just Sue's pets...) so we were stuck indoors most of the day. The boys joined us that afternoon up in Pasadena for an early birthday celebration dinner at the Luggage Room, cupcakes from Violet's Cupcake shop and a feisty game of Fish Bowl (let's just say my mom acted out the word "tushee squeeze" and Brandon was sitting next to her).

The weekend came and went and on Monday my sister and brother-in-law headed back north, Connor went to Six Flags with some friends, and I dropped my mom off in the middle of the Garment District downtown LA on my way to work. Tuesday I was able to work from home and that evening we went to Hollywood Blvd. to explore and met up with our cousin Calvin for a quick cup of coffee.

One of my favorite meals is to make pizza from scratch for dinner (meaning the dough is prepackaged...). So Tuesday night, after coming back from Hollywood my mom, Connor and I made pizzas... Our pan must have been smaller...

I had to work again on Wednesday so my mom and brother headed down to Costa Mesa and Huntington for a little more exploring and came back to pick me up when I was off work. That night we got Cherry on Top for dinner (a wonderful substitute) and headed to bed early so they could catch their 7:30 am flight out of LAX.

I feel like this week went by so fast. I wish all the things I love could be in once place...

As I am catching up from family being in town, I am also preparing for my best friends to head our way.
